ipox has been focusing for some time on making products also environmentally compatible through environmentally friendly formulations.
Environmental regulations are reinforcing the trend and demand for bio-based products made from renewable raw materials. The demand for environmentally friendly paints and water-based products for the coatings market is steadily increasing. The aim is to achieve integrated value chains that are more efficient, effective and transparent - while at the same time having a lower environmental impact.
Consumers, for example, are increasingly demanding VOC-free products with higher performance. End-user needs and legislation are driving this development.
⇒ Reactive diluents and adhesion promoter based on renewable raw materials
Living renewably and sustainably is a critical part of our future. We use natural resources and have recently started producing bio-based epoxy building blocks to support you in your sustainability efforts.
What are the global trends in sustainability?
Efficient production processes with minimized waste streams
ipox eco products are manufactured with efficient production processes - with high yields, minimized waste streams, continuous improvement programs. And last but not least, the use of renewable carbon from non-fossil raw materials.
Of course, our sustainable products have the same quality and performance as the standard ipox products you are familiar with.
We promise our environmentally friendly customers a secure supply of sustainable products.

Local at heart, global in action
Keeping nature intact is a key driver for us. The ipox eco products are part of our pursuit of environmental protection and sustainability. Since the issue of sustainability is very close to our hearts, we offer a wide range of reactive diluents and adhesion promoters with a high proportion of renewable raw materials.
For our green reactive diluents and adhesion promoters, we use biogenic epichlorohydrin based on glycerin. Depending on the reactive diluent and raw material base, the proportion of renewable raw material used may vary. The raw materials for our bio-based reactive diluents and adhesion promoters are based on different natural raw material sources, such as vegetable, native oils, carbohydrates and alcohols based on renewable raw materials. This results in a varying content of renewable carbon.
Mass balanced and certified
All renewable raw materials used by us are mass balanced and also certified. We at ipox are working on the implementation of a mass balance system, which we will of course also certify. Currently, we provide exemplary proof of the proportion of renewable carbon in our reactive diluents and adhesion promoters via the USDA certificate, which includes a 14C analysis.
